Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in San Diego, CA. This full-time position offers a competitive compensation package based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits.

About You

You’re a problem-solver with a knack for delivering exceptional customer service. With 3-5 years of experience in apartment maintenance working at a property with over 150 units, strong technical skills, and precise communication abilities, you’re ready to take on the challenge of maintaining our properties to the highest standards.

**This position requires working either Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday.**

Your Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be the backbone of our apartment community’s technical operations, addressing a variety of needs to ensure a seamless living experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work Orders: Respond to and coordinate maintenance requests promptly.
  • Plumbing: Replace faucets, snake drains, and install toilet valves.
  • Carpentry: Hang windows and doors, repair hinges, and replace door/window locks.
  • Painting and Repairs: Patch and paint walls to match existing finishes.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Keep records for building systems, fire safety, and operational equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies, schedule vendors, and control inventory.
  • Inspections: Conduct unit inspections and ensure consistency across properties.
  • Emergency Response: Be available for after-hours, on-call emergencies.

  • Complete work assignments efficiently and effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain a high standard of property upkeep, minimizing costs while ensuring top-notch conditions.
