Job description

Salary: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour; DOE

Joseph J. Albanese is actively seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our Contracts Department. The primary area of responsibility of the project coordinator will be to act as liaison between internal and external project team members, coordinating and executing project contract deliverables, while accurately maintaining project records throughout the course of construction. The ideal candidate will have previous construction coordination experience, with the ability to multitask, determine relative priority, and perform project tasks independently. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to initiate contract documents from project start-up and execute deliverables within required timeframes and contract deadlines, bearing in mind contract-specific requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of electronic contract documentation, changes, and periodic deliverables for the life of the project, across a high volume of projects and platforms.
  • Prepare, submit, and maintain compliance with all project labor and regulatory requirements for private and public works projects, including DAS 140/142 forms, Project Labor Agreements (PLAs), certified compliance documentation, and other applicable federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
  • Enroll projects in OCIP, CCIP, or UCIP programs as required by project specifications.
  • Submit change order requests with required backup, follow up, and communicate statuses to the project team.
  • Reconcile account balances between systems to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies, and maintain the integrity of projects.
  • Initiate and coordinate final project closeout for timely retention billing and final project deliverables.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY

  • Knowledge of the stages of construction from a project document perspective is required. This includes bidding through contract changes, submittals, and RFIs, through the closeout process.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to track multiple projects in various stages of construction is required.
  • Ability to work independently when needed and troubleshoot when issues or questions arise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members by prioritizing tasks and assisting team members when needed.
  • Intermediate to Advanced skill in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience with Viewpoint Construction Software or construction project management software is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years of related experience in the construction industry, preferably in both the public and private sectors.
  • Minimum of a high school degree or equivalent.

OTHER:

  • Ability to work overtime on an as needed basis.
  • General work environment sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, bending.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
