Position Overview

Urban Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our exceptional team in Port Charlotte, Florida. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in enhancing the quality of life for our patients by guiding them through rehabilitation, improving their movement capabilities, and helping them achieve optimal functional outcomes.

Our practice is designed to provide individualized treatment in a supportive and motivating environment. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and offers a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet the diverse needs of our patient population. We pride ourselves on our collaborative team approach, ensuring that every patient receives the best possible care.

Work Environment

Located in beautiful Port Charlotte, Florida, our center features a modern 5000 square-foot facility designed to create a welcoming and effective rehabilitation space. You will work alongside a cohesive team composed of experienced physical therapists and physical therapist assistants, all focused on delivering high-quality care. Our weekday hours, from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, provide a structured work schedule that allows for work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of each patient's conditions, facilitating the development of individualized care plans that address their specific needs.
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions, managing a caseload of one patient per hour to ensure quality care and attention.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions while utilizing the most current therapeutic modalities and techniques.
  • Help patients regain strength, flexibility, and functional movement through tailored exercise programs that focus on their unique rehabilitation goals.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, maintaining open and clear communication with patients about their journey.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as orthopedic surgeons, physicians, and occupational therapists, to coordinate comprehensive treatment strategies.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in physical therapy practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals covered by private medical insurance, seeking rehabilitation for a variety of orthopedic conditions. These may include post-operative recovery, chronic pain management, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal disorders. Our therapists are committed to empowering patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, encouraging their independence and active participation in their recovery process.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
  • A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida is essential.
  • The candidate must demonstrate a clean professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions.
  • Strong manual therapy skills along with expertise in developing and executing effective exercise protocols are critical.
  • Proficiency in utilizing WebPT EMR software is preferred to streamline patient documentation and communication.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable, enriching your ability to provide specialized care.
  • Demonstrated success in creating personalized treatment plans and engaging patients to achieve their functional goals is a plus.
  • Familiarity with a range of rehabilitation techniques and a holistic view of patient care will further enhance your effectiveness in this role.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, complemented by comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development support.
