Location: Multi-State Travel Required (Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, & West Virginia)

Position Overview

Thoroughbred Express Auto Wash is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and energetic Marketing & Content Creation Intern to assist our Marketing Department in capturing and creating engaging content across our growing network of car wash locations.

This is a hands-on opportunity for a student interested in marketing, photography, journalism, social media management, videography, and content creation. The selected candidate will travel throughout our operating regions capturing authentic customer experiences, employee interactions, site operations, community involvement, and promotional content that showcases the Thoroughbred Express brand.

This position offers significant exposure to real-world marketing operations, content strategy, brand management, and social media growth initiatives. High-performing interns may be considered for extended internship opportunities and potential full-time employment following graduation.

Primary ResponsibilitiesContent Creation
  • Travel to Thoroughbred Express locations to capture high-quality photos and videos.
  • Take organic, candid, and action-oriented photography showcasing employees, customers, and operations.
  • Capture content that highlights company culture, customer interactions, promotions, and community engagement.
  • Create engaging short-form video content for social media platforms.
Social Media Management
  • Edit and produce content for:
    • Facebook
    • Instagram
    • TikTok
    • YouTube Shorts
    • LinkedIn
  • Convert raw photos and videos into reels, stories, short-form videos, and promotional content.
  • Schedule and publish approved content across all company social media platforms.
  • Monitor engagement and identify opportunities to improve content performance.
Brand Support
  • Ensure all content aligns with Thoroughbred Express branding standards.
  • Submit proofs and drafts for review and approval by the Marketing Director prior to publication.
  • Assist with special promotions, grand openings, community events, and company initiatives.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to identify unique content opportunities.
Travel Requirements
  • Must be willing and able to travel independently throughout Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and West Virginia.
  • Required to visit a minimum of 10 locations per month.
  • Required to complete two overnight travel trips per month.
  • Company-approved travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
