Job Overview
The AV Events Team provides comprehensive event support throughout the lifecycle of large-scale corporate events. Comprising individuals skilled in AV technical pre-production, equipment recommendations, and live event technical execution, the team is seeking an AV Events Technician to offer ancillary event support services. The role may involve assisting with starting an in-room presentation, providing dedicated technical support for in-room AV equipment, and potentially working flexible hours, including after normal business hours or on weekends.
Responsibilities
Act as event production A1 or A2, Graphics, or video switching, depending on show needs
Set up, configure, operate, and facilitate support for event productions
Possess an advanced understanding of current audio/video standards and equipment
Serve as the primary point of contact for all audio and video production items for events
Ensure a well-produced event for both streaming and event space experience
Use and follow the run-of-show document as a guide for proper show flow
Partner with other crew members on the execution of elements both before and during shows
Attend pre-show production meetings with the crew to review responsibilities
Ensure testing of all show playback elements for proper playout
Follow the event content closely to execute with maximum quality
Be responsible for ensuring that proper audio levels and video feeds for records are precise
Ability to program and operate switchers, graphics, mixers, microphones, and all ancillary audio gear
Manage gear configuration upgrades and develop new show elements
Work with presenters to properly place and track lav microphones
Prepare, organize, and track handheld microphones and other equipment as needed
Reset space after events to pre-production standards
Communicate with Executive Leadership and corresponding support staff to facilitate high-profile events
Work and communicate with clients (called stakeholders) and different departments within the company
Skills

Adaptability and ability to work well with varied personalities
High level of professionalism and ability to be helpful and maintain composure under pressure

Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required; experience/skill level is considered

Previous experience working on corporate events in a corporate setting
AV Signal Flow & Troubleshooting
Familiarity with various AV equipment and systems including routers, switchers, recording devices, audio mixers, microphones, lighting boards, cameras, and software such as Zoom, Google Suite, Keynote, Slack, Dante Controller, Smaart 8, Mbox/Qlab/Playback Pro/Quicktime
Note any equipment failures and report to the AV team
