The Graphic Designer creates and executes visually compelling, on-brand marketing materials that elevate Behlen Mfg. Co. brands and drive business growth. This role is ideal for a designer who enjoys being hands-on and is eager to grow their creative and brand development skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Support and uphold visual identity standards across all our brands, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Contribute creative ideas to strengthen and enhance brand presence across materials and channels.
  • Manage graphic design projects from concept through final production, translating ideas into high-quality, production-ready deliverables.
  • Design and produce artwork, video, and image assets for multiple audiences across brands including awards, print and digital brochures, banners, logos, posters, photos, swag items, presentations, technical product guides, print catalogs, and training videos.
  • Ensure quality through proofing, editing, retouching, file management, and pre-press preparation.
  • Maintain and organize the DAM system, including archiving, tagging, and version control.
  • Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and external partners to develop effective visual materials.
  • Capture and edit photography and video for commercial use (events, in-house, and on location).


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, or related field.
  • Solid understanding of branding and the ability to consistently apply visual identity standards.
  • Commitment to high-quality commercial design and continuous skill development.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating layout, branding, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling abilities.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Able to manage and meet multiple deadlines with urgency and sound judgment.
  • Resourceful self-starter who works independently and seeks input when needed.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience planning and executing photo/video shoots using DSLR equipment (some lifting; occasional non-standard hours).

Preferred:

  • Production artist experience.
  • Familiarity with screen printing and embroidery processes.
