Location Omaha, NE Requisition Number: Staff_14973 Department Strategic Communications 50001206 Business Unit Chancellor's Office Reg-Temp Full-Time Regular Work Schedule Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM Remote/Telecommuting Hybrid (part-time working on site, part-time working off-site) Position Summary
Primarily responsible for the daily production of UNMC's online employee newsletter, UNMC Today.
Responsible for the timely production of accurate publications and information pieces for distribution to internal and external audiences.
Production includes researching; interviewing; writing; editing; evaluating; proofreading; taking photographs; using social media, desktop and Web publishing tools; and coordinating production though internal and external suppliers.
Evaluate/explore ways to expand/grow/revamp the newsletter to make it more engaging/helpful to its target audiences, including incorporation of more video elements and tailoring to specific audiences.
Assist, collaborate and create content for UNMC social media accounts. Serve on campus committees offering strategic communications counsel.
