Description of Work
Nebraska Public Media, Nebraska's NPR & PBS Stations, is looking for a Videographer/Editor who will be responsible for shooting and editing single camera video productions, and operating studio and remote television cameras. Position will perform simpler styles of single camera productions without direction and shoot more complex single camera productions with direct supervision; opportunities to produce your own segments exist. Primary responsibilities are Broadcast based productions, but there may be an opportunity to work on 360 video productions.

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in broadcasting or related field plus one year's experience in capturing video and audio in the field and editing with non-linear computer software.
  • Additional years of relevant experience or completed relevant education may substitute for required education/experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • A working knowledge of a cross-section of production tools including television cameras, non-linear editing systems, lighting, audio equipment, and graphics.
  • Knowledge of multiple video formats and range of production techniques.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in broadcasting or a related field plus three years' experience in single camera EFP shooting and editing for broadcast, web and 360 productions, and/or multi-camera studio, remote production.
  • Knowledge of Avid Media Composer editing software, advanced lighting techniques, and 360 capture and editing.
  • Knowledge of production equipment, such as DSLR cameras, Drones, 360 VR cameras, camera sliders, Gimbals, Jibs and EFP lights would be beneficial.
