MLV - Intern, Video Production: $16.37 per hour
Position Summary: The Videographer is responsible for capturing and producing compelling video content that brings the Minnesota Major League Volleyball team to life across digital, social, and partner platforms. This role supports team coverage, player storytelling, and corporate partnership deliverables by shooting and editing high-quality video that consistently reflects the team's brand and visual standards. The position is important because timely, engaging video content is essential to building fan connection, amplifying the team's story, and delivering value to sponsors in a fast-paced, startup sports environment.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Shoot and edit breaking news as it pertains to the Minnesota Major League Volleyball team with the aptitude to cover most team practices and game days.
  • Create and apply consistent branding principles and elements to all videos and social media.
  • Capture and edit video footage for Team/Player video coverage.
  • Support all Corporate Partnerships video deliverables.
  • Learn specific web site Content Management System(s) including encoding and posting procedures.
  • Edit multiple video productions as they pertain to all aspects of digital content and other areas in a timely fashion.
  • Assist all production personnel with specific editing projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
Formal Education & Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Video Production, Film Studies, Mass Media, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Knowledge & Experience:
  • At least two years of experience in video production with knowledge of current video editing and camera technology.
  • Experience editing for Electronic/Digital media, Broadcast and Game Presentation using Adobe products and Premiere specifically with additional non-linear systems.
  • Technical proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects preferred.
  • Understanding of post-production color correction/balancing.
  • Strong ability to run multi-format video cameras; a keen eye for capturing video with the ability to light subject(s) and compile audio complement.
  • Knowledge of volleyball and sports in general.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Must have the ability to work efficiently and meet time sensitive deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to express creativity with an ability to learn new ideas and concepts with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing environments.

Work Conditions:
  • Ability to work all 2027 Minnesota Major League Volleyball home matches.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed for games and events.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
