The Opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as a Production Team Leader at our Crystal Springs, MS location! This is your chance to lead a dynamic production team, drive improvements with lean manufacturing techniques, and make a significant impact in a global company. You'll be part of a team that values safety, integrity, and continuous improvement. If you're passionate about manufacturing and ready to take on a leadership role, this opportunity is for you!
Shift & Schedule: The position will be based at our Crystal Springs, MS production plant and will support the team in line with shift schedule for the weekdays Sunday -Thursday inclusive. Current shift hours are from 10:30pm to 7:00am. These hours may change and may work overtime either outside these hours or on weekend days. The successful candidate should be able to assist his team anytime to reach the production targets.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ensure all activities under your responsibility are addressed in the respective health and safety risk analysis, and required controls are defined to conduct the work safely.
  • Identify gaps in safety, quality, and production processes and develop actions to close gaps.
  • Communicate daily production targets and exceptions with the production employees.
  • Assign team members and adjust workflow based on the size of the work team and customer priorities.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction for continuous improvement activities.
  • Engage team members and develop best practices within areas of responsibility.
  • Support the team members' training.

Your Background
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • Associate degree (may consider non-degree candidate with significant years of experience).
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisor role.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing.
  • Experience in using SAP is a plus.
  • Experience with metal works, welding, and painting is a plus.
