Position Summary:
The Democratic National Committee is seeking a Video Producer-a nimble, creative storyteller who can produce compelling video content across multiple formats and platforms. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating vertical content for TikTok/Reels/YouTube Shorts, but interested in learning about how to support studio shoots and film in the field. The Video Producer will play a key role in telling the story of the Democratic Party and its values in fresh, impactful ways.
Responsibilities:
Vertical & Social Video Creation
  • Create multiple high-performing vertical videos weekly for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Script and produce direct-to-camera (DTC) and explainer content.
  • Source and edit footage from live streams, news coverage, and internal events to create social-first content.
  • Stay on top of emerging trends, memes, and storytelling formats to keep DNC content culturally relevant.

Editing & Post-Production
  • Edit short- and longform video content in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
  • Collaborate with producers and comms leads to ensure videos meet messaging and platform goals.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in studio production, including control room operation, is nice to have.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere and After Effects, or a comparable video editing program.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and video trends, particularly TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Proven ability to independently manage projects from concept to delivery.
  • Experience covering events and working in fast-paced, ever-changing environments.
  • Strong organizational, storytelling, and communication skills.

Travel: The Video Producer position will not require travel.
Salary: The starting salary for the Video Producer position is $65,000.00, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This is a full-time, exempt position that may require work on weekends, and has an end date of November 15, 2026. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
