Job description

The Part Time Seasonal Video Content Editor is a member of the Curly W Productions team and responsible for contributing to content across all platforms for multiple departments at the Washington Nationals. This role will focus on editing marketing campaigns, organic and paid social content with post-production support and other needs as assigned.

The ideal content editor is a fast, creative editor with strong technical skills that understands traditional marketing content while knowing emerging social content trends.

This is a part time, limited term position, working an average of 32 hours per week. This position term is June 2026 through October 2nd, 2026.

The Nationals are a military-friendly organization actively recruiting veterans and spouses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill editing and content delivery needs across departments including marketing, partnerships, community, PR, game presentation, and broadcast.
  • Assemble rough cuts, refine pacing, and deliver polished final edits that align with brand and campaign objectives.
  • Integrate graphics, typography, motion elements, and sound design to enhance storytelling.
  • Assist in creating paid and organic video assets that support ticket sales, fan engagement, and broader business priorities.
  • Re-cut, version, and repurpose existing content into platform-specific edits that drive engagement and performance across social channels.
  • Organize and maintain content files, selects, exports, and delivery folders for internal stakeholders, external partners, and cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Stay tapped into editing styles, platform trends, and content innovations across sports, entertainment, and social media.

    Compensation:

    The projected wage rate for this position is $30-$40 per hour. Actual pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s qualifications, skills, expertise, education/training, certifications, and other organization requirements. Starting salaries for new employees are frequently not at the top of the applicable salary range.
