Job description

SUMMARY: The Senior Video Producer will serve as a lead producer and editor for Patriots social and digital-first multimedia content while managing and mentoring a team of video producers. The Senior Video Producer will work closely with the Content Department managers and senior leadership to plan resources and execute projects on time and budget. This role will work interdepartmentally to create content to help achieve the organization's production goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Shoot, produce, and edit all forms of video content to include both short-form and long-form segments, including interviewing players, storyboarding concepts, writing scripts, directing crews, and approving final product.
  2. Manage video content creation process for Patriots social and digital-first multimedia content, authorize editing schedules, and ensure projects are completed on time and budget.
  3. Develop and mentor a team of video producers to maximize productivity and value. Manage team through active supervision, coaching and resource management to support and ensure all departmental goals are achieved.
  4. Work with the digital marketing team to fulfill sponsorship commitments on graphics and videos on Patriots content channels and offer concepts for branded and custom content that fit sponsors' goals.
  5. Oversee relationships with outside vendors assisting in the process of video production.
  6. Determine and approve the specific audio and visual effects and music necessary to complete videos.
  7. Understand league and team rules and guidelines pertaining to content gathering and production and ensure that staff and other third-parties under the organization purview follow those rules and guidelines.
  8. Research, manage, and stay up to date on current production equipment and innovation, trends in social media, video and content consumption.
  9. Oversee all equipment purchased and owned by the Content Department and be the point-person for all orders, working with the Vice President of Content for approvals.
  10. Ensure created video footage is added to overall organizational archive.
  11. Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
  12. Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • 2x Associate Video Producer and 1 Video Producer

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in video production or related field
  • Must possess a portfolio of relevant work experience
  • 6+ years of experience in video production in a professional environment, prefer sports & entertainment industry
  • 0-2 years of proven experience managing full-time employees, including the ability to delegate tasks, provide clear guidance and oversight, and effectively handle performance management.
  • Strong knowledge of digital media trends, skills and aesthetics and experience designing for mobile
  • Strong storytelling ability
  • Experience building, manipulating, and integrating text and graphics
  • Must be proficient in digital video editing techniques and systems, including the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop
  • Proficient in audio editing, music editing, mixing, and mastering
  • Knowledgeable and proficient camera operator
  • Working knowledge of video, editing, sound and lighting equipment
  • Proficient in setup of lighting, use of audio recording and monitoring equipment and video ingest and logging process, transcoding and various video codecs, formats, and standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attentiveness to detail
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, including prioritizing and addressing multiple projects with varying timelines, and complete by the established deadline
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Understanding of NFL rules, history, gameplay, players etc.
  • Passion for the intersection of sports and pop culture a plus
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Must have attention to detail and focused concentration
  • Must be able to learn new tasks and complete tasks independently
  • Must be able to make timely decisions in the context of the workflow
  • Must possess strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and responsiveness
  • Must be able to adhere to process protocol and must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds over head (camera equipment)
