We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their accounting knowledge while supporting payroll, accounts payable, human resources, and general administrative functions.

Job Details:

Position: Junior Staff Accountant

Location: Chester, PA

Pay: $60,000-$65,000 per year (Negotiable based on experience)

Full Benefits: (Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, ESOP)

Job Duties:

  • Process weekly payroll timecards
  • Provide HR support by answering employee questions regarding company policies and employee benefits.
  • Assist with general bookkeeping functions related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Coordinate onboarding of new employees and ensure all required documentation is completed and submitted to Payroll and Human Resources.
  • Match purchase orders to vendor invoices.
  • Code invoices to the appropriate General Ledger accounts and enter invoices into the accounting system.
  • Track equipment registrations and maintain divisional equipment records.
  • Maintain employee overnight expense logs.
  • Order office supplies and maintain office inventory.
  • Assist with filing, record retention, and other accounting or administrative projects as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Accounting and Operations teams.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in an accounting, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or administrative support role.
  • Working knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll processing, and general bookkeeping principles.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with accounting software is preferred.
