JOB STATUS: Full-time

TRAVEL: As Needed
Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician II
located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. Astrion has worked extensively with Redstone Arsenal where it has earned a reputation for on-time delivery of high-quality products tailored to the needs of its clients.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
  • Three (3) years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or two (2) years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and one (1) year of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements:
  • Instrumentation - Must have sixteen (16) weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques and at least one (1) of the three (3) years of experience must be in electronics/instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
  • Exceptional customer relationship skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Install, operate, and maintain LOCAITS instrumentation.
  • Support the LOCAITS lead engineer in the design, installation, production, and deployment of LOCAITS GPS/IMU kits on various aerial and ground vehicles platforms.
  • Support both local and TDY test events involving LOCAITS data collection on integrated aviation/weapons systems.
  • Install and operate range equipment (camera's, intercom, video monitors, fiber, and ethernet cables).
