Video Labelling information

What does a typical day look like for someone working in Video Labelling?

A typical day in Video Labelling involves reviewing video footage, identifying and annotating specific objects or events according to project guidelines, and entering this data into specialized software tools. Team members often collaborate with data scientists, engineers, or quality assurance leads to ensure accuracy and consistency in the annotations. Depending on the project and employer, you may work independently or as part of a larger team, sometimes with set quotas or deadlines. This work is crucial for developing and refining AI and machine learning models, making attention to detail and adherence to standards especially important. Over time, experienced video labelling professionals may progress to quality assurance roles or team leads overseeing larger annotation projects.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Video Labelling position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Video Labelling professional, you should have excellent attention to detail, basic computer proficiency, and familiarity with visual content analysis. Knowledge of annotation platforms, video editing software, or AI training tools is often required, and experience with data labelling systems can be beneficial. Strong communication, reliability, and the ability to follow detailed guidelines are important soft skills for this role. These abilities ensure high-quality, consistent data annotation that directly supports machine learning and computer vision projects.

What jobs make $10,000 a month without a degree?

Video labeling jobs typically do not pay $10,000 a month without significant experience or high-volume work, as they are often entry-level and pay hourly or per task. High earnings in related fields like freelance video editing, content creation, or digital marketing may reach that level with specialized skills, a strong portfolio, and consistent work, but these are not solely based on job titles. Most roles requiring no degree tend to have lower average salaries, making $10,000 monthly uncommon without advanced skills or entrepreneurship.

What is a video labelling job?

A video labelling job involves reviewing and annotating video content to help train machine learning algorithms, such as for autonomous vehicles or content moderation. Workers typically use specialized tools to add labels, tags, or metadata to specific frames or segments, often working remotely with flexible schedules.

What jobs in the US pay 300,000 a year?

In the field of video labelling, high-paying roles typically do not reach $300,000 annually; such salaries are more common in executive, specialized technical, or management positions. Most video labelling jobs are entry-level or mid-tier roles with salaries significantly below that threshold. Advanced roles in related fields like AI development or data science may approach or exceed this level with experience and expertise.

What is a Video Labelling job?

A Video Labelling job involves annotating or tagging objects, actions, or events in video footage to train machine learning models. This process helps AI systems recognize and interpret visual data accurately. Tasks may include drawing bounding boxes, classifying scenes, or adding timestamps for specific events. Video labelling is commonly used in industries like autonomous driving, security surveillance, and content moderation.

Are video editors in high demand?

Video editors are in steady demand across industries such as media, advertising, and entertainment, especially with the growth of online content and digital marketing. Skills in editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro and the ability to adapt to new tools can enhance job prospects in this field.

Full-time

Job description

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving new business growth by selling a SaaS-based video
creation platform designed for artists, labels, distributors, and music creators. This role is focused on 100% new
business development, full-cycle sales, and outbound prospecting within the global music and creator economy.
You will own the entire sales process—from identifying and researching target labels and distributors, to
prospecting, closing, and managing accounts post-sale. This is a true hunter role requiring grit, creativity, resilience,
and the ability to sell an intangible, emerging SaaS solution to decision-makers across the music industry. You will
work closely with sales leadership and play a key role in scaling a newly launched enterprise subscription model.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
  • Base salary: $65,000 – $70,000 (depending on experience)
  • Commission on new subscription revenue
  • On-target earnings (Year 1): $95,000 – $120,000+
  • Residual commissions paid on subscriptions for up to three years
  • Significant upside as book of business grows
  • Opportunity to earn six figures in commissions over time
  • Laptop provided
THE COMPANY & CULTURE:
Our client is a well-established music technology organization operating at the intersection of music, data, licensing, and digital platforms. The company supports artists, labels, and distributors by enabling scalable content creation and monetization solutions used across major digital music platforms. The culture is entrepreneurial, performance-driven, and highly autonomous. This is not a heavily structured sales environment—success is driven by self-motivation, accountability, and hustle. The team values adaptability, curiosity, creativity, and individuals who thrive without rigid playbooks.
OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY:
  • Toronto-based role
  • 4 days in-office / 1 day work-from-home
  • Occasional travel may be required
EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2–5 years of full-cycle B2B sales experience
  • Proven success in outbound, hunter-style roles
  • Experience selling SaaS, subscription-based, or intangible solutions preferred
  • Comfortable with cold outreach and self-generated prospecting
  • High grit, resilience, and persistence
  • Strong communication and discovery skills
  • Self-directed and effective in a less structured environment
  • Music, media, or creator-economy experience is a strong asset
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline, accounts, and forecasts (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot,Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
  • Proficiency with sales outreach tools for outbound prospecting (email sequencing, calling, LinkedIn outreach)
  • Comfortable delivering virtual product demos and presentations via Zoom, Google Meet, or similar platforms
  • Strong working knowledge of subscription-based SaaS sales models
  • Ability to interpret and communicate basic performance metrics and usage data
  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator and social-selling tools
  • Familiarity with digital content, media, or creator platforms (music, video, or streaming platforms preferred)
THE PRODUCT / SERVICE / SOLUTION
  • A SaaS-based video creation platform that enables artists, labels, and distributors to efficiently produce and manage:
  • Lyric videos
  • Album art videos
  • Music videos
  • Spotify Canvas videos
  • Apple Music motion art videos
  • The solution is sold through enterprise subscription packages, allowing organizations to scale video creation across their artist rosters.
PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS / INDUSTRY FOCUS / DECISION MAKER(S):
  • Music labels
  • Music distributors
  • Artist management companies
  • Artists
SALES CYCLE / ORDER VALUE / ACCOUNT SIZE
  • Sales cycle: Short to mid-length, depending on deal size
  • Typical deal structure: Annual subscription, sold at scale
COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES:
  • Enterprise-first subscription model that scales across entire artist rosters
  • More than a point solution – supports multiple content formats and workflows
  • Deep music industry integration with labels, distributors, and platforms
  • Clear, measurable ROI vs. agencies or per-video tools
  • High customer stickiness once embedded into workflows
  • Global market reach with significant growth runway

TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES:
  • Research and identify target labels, distributors, and music organizations globally
  • Build and manage targeted lead lists using music industry data tools
  • Conduct outbound prospecting through phone, email, LinkedIn, Instagram, and direct outreach
  • Book and lead discovery calls with decision-makers
  • Deliver virtual demos and solution walkthroughs
  • Sell enterprise subscription packages
  • Close new business and manage accounts post-sale
  • Track pipeline, activity, and revenue performance
  • Collaborate closely with sales leadership
  • Meet or exceed revenue-driven KPIs
LEADS:
  • 70–80% self-sourced outbound
  • 20–30% supported leads / warm data

OVERNIGHT TRAVEL:
  • Less than 10%
SUPPORT & TRAINING:
  • Hands-on onboarding and product training
  • Direct mentorship from sales leadership
  • Ongoing coaching and deal strategy support
  • Opportunity to expand into selling additional products over time
  • High visibility within a growing sales organization
WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY:
  • True Hunter Role – Own the full sales cycle end-to-end
  • High Earning Potential – Residual commissions and long-term upside
  • Innovative SaaS Product – Sell into the growing creator economy
  • Autonomy & Impact – Direct influence on revenue growth
