Job description

WCIA 3 is seeking a dynamic, engaging on-air personality to co-host CiLiving as it evolves into a modern, podcast-driven lifestyle show. This role is ideal for someone who brings a natural, conversational on-camera presence, thrives in a flexible production environment, and understands how to create content that connects across streaming, social, and digital platforms.
The Host will lead long-form conversations, produce compelling lifestyle content, and help shape the creative direction of the show as it expands beyond traditional broadcast into a multi-platform experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver regular on-camera and microphone-based hosting for a lifestyle show recorded in a podcast-style format and distributed across streaming, digital, and social platforms
• Lead engaging, conversational interviews with guests, community partners, and clients in both studio and on-location settings
• Produce original feature content (3 to 4 pieces per week), including writing, shooting, and editing
• Collaborate with the Producer to develop episode rundowns, segment ideas, and content plans that translate across video, audio, and social formats
• Research topics and craft engaging, conversational interview questions suited for longer-form discussions
• Identify and develop story ideas that resonate with local audiences and perform well on streaming and social platforms
• Assist in welcoming and preparing guests for recording sessions, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience
• Create and publish content across multiple platforms, including streaming (CTV), social media, and digital channels
• Capture additional behind-the-scenes and promotional content to support show growth and audience engagement
• Help maintain and grow the show's social media presence with a strong understanding of what drives engagement
• Represent CiLiving at community events and station initiatives
• Contribute to a positive, creative, and team-oriented environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor's degree in film, journalism, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Proven experience as an on-air host, podcast host, or digital video personality
• Strong conversational delivery with the ability to carry both structured segments and unscripted discussions
• Experience creating content for digital platforms, podcasts, or streaming services is a plus
• Strong storytelling skills with an eye for visually engaging and shareable
content
• Proficiency with cameras, audio equipment, and video editing tools
• Comfortable working in a less traditional studio environment with flexible production workflows
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter who thrives both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Strong understanding of social media strategy, audience engagement, and content distribution
