In-Game Host
USA Hockey's National Team Development Program and USA Hockey Arena seeks In-Game Hosts to join our Marketing Department. The persons hired for this position will need strong critical thinking skills in order to integrate into our team. This position runs during the hockey season, roughly from the beginning of September until the middle of April. Only required to work game nights (Roughly 5:30-9PM). Games are generally Friday & Saturday nights with some Thursday/Sundays mixed in.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Serve as the primary on-camera host during home game video board productions, interacting with fans and encouraging their participation, and leading and announcing in-game promotions, contests and activities.
  • Communicate with marketing and production staff on in-game promotions. Follow the game script closely to ensure all planned promotions, announcements and activities are executed on time and according to plan.
  • Assisting marketing staff with selecting promotions participants and marketing and promotions efforts in game.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • College student or recent graduate majoring in acting, performance, public speaking, broadcast, communications or sports management desired
  • Familiarity with hockey
  • Previous emcee or host experience

Must be local to Plymouth, MI. Must be willing and able to stand for long periods, and walk onto the ice with proper safety equipment.
