Job Description

Responsible for the creation and maintenance of both our marketing assets and content created to support the enterprise and other marketing goals. A creative individual with excellent aesthetic judgment, an eye for motion design, ability to adapt on the fly and the willingness to collaborate within a team environment. 

  • Work with the various Marketing Directors to concept and create casino advertising, commercials, social media, and other branded media assets
  • Edit video footage to produce engaging and cohesive final products for various Boyd Gaming brands.
  • Create and update motion graphics as needed
  • Manage individual editing tasks to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain effective communication with team members and clients throughout all phases of a project to guarantee that deadlines and milestones are met.
  • Juggle multiple editing assignments simultaneously and provide regular updates on progress.
  • Adhere to established naming conventions and protocols when handling project data in storage systems.
  • Contribute ideas and best practices within the editing and creative teams.
  • Coordinate with the Multimedia Manager and the marketing teams to meet project deadlines.
  • Edit projects according to specific scripts or editorial notes.
  • Execute client-specified revisions promptly.
  • Ensure timely delivery of finished projects
  • Communicate key project details to management and identify any obstacles impacting project timelines.
  • Participate in proofing of property and corporate marketing
  • Updating media on digital signage and other display mediums throughout the enterprise
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned. 
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary certifications and/or license
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in video editing, motion graphics, film or related field; preferred.
  • Two years of experience in video editing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; required.
  • Expert knowledge in video authoring/editing and audio manipulation.
  • Understanding of compression/encoding technology and process
  • Must have strong video editing skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, dependable, deadline driven, and able to work with cross-functional teams on collaborative projects.
  • Ability to set up, use, and break down video and audio equipment
  • Ability to set up lighting in a production environment
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, guests and/or 
  • management staff.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, be persistent, draw valid conclusions and be a skilled negotiator.
  • Extremely detail orientated and willing to take initiative.
  • Strong relationship management skills required to create, maintain, and enhance working relationships between departments and vendors.
  • Must have ability to get along with others.
  • Plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the Casino industry
  • Knowledge of design process and terms preferred. 
  • Strong computer skills including the use of Adobe Creative Suite, Red Giant, Element 3D, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; required. Understanding of 3D applications and compositing preferred. 
  • Must act as an example to other Team Members
  • Must support Motion Graphics Managers
  • Must support company initiatives
