POSITION: Manager, Internal Communications
The Manager, Internal Communications plays a key role in managing and delivering cross-functional communications that support alignment across The Shade Store's field and operational teams. This role oversees the administration of The Shade Store's targeted communications and compliance platforms, develops and maintains a structured calendar of communications and training initiatives, and supports the creation and distribution of communication and learning content.
Working closely with Sales, Customer Experience, and cross-functional leadership, this position ensures that key business updates, operational initiatives, and training materials are delivered clearly, consistently, and effectively. The role also tracks engagement and compliance, providing analytics and insights to operational teams to support continuous improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the internal communications strategy and framework that supports key company initiatives and ensures consistent messaging across Sales, Customer Experience, and field teams
  • Collect, synthesize and prioritize cross-functional communications to ensure alignment and consistency across teams and initiatives
  • Ensure that communications are clear, accessible, and aligned with company standards and brand voice
  • Deploy internal communications and training through established communication platforms, in partnership with operations leaders in Sales and Customer Experience
  • Administer and maintain The Shade Store's targeted communications to facilitate effective message delivery, engagement tracking and training distribution
  • Develop and manage a centralized calendar of team communications and training initiatives to ensure timely, coordinated delivery of key updates and learning content
  • Participate in the creation and production of communication and training initiatives, including written content, editing, and formatting material (including video and document editing)
  • Measure engagement and effectiveness of communications and training initiatives using platform analytics and feedback from field teams, and use insights to continuously improve communication strategies and content delivery Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather feedback, identify communication needs and continuously improve communication and training effectiveness
  • Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in internal communications, team engagement and training

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, or a related field, or 5+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience supporting internal communications or training initiatives, preferably in a retail, hospitality or luxury environment
  • A customer service mindset with an understanding of the needs of field and frontline teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear and engaging messaging
  • Experience with communication, training platforms and content creation tools such as Canva, PowerPoint, InDesign, basic video editing proficiency preferred
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a face-paced environment
  • An analytical mindset with experience using data and reporting to evaluate communication effectiveness and inform decision-making
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on reliability, accuracy, and documentation
  • Collaborative team player who can partner effectively with functional peers
