ย ย POSITION SUMMARY:ย 

Successfully promote and support the mission of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas as guided by the Catholic Social Teachings by creating compelling visual stories of hope shared by those we serve, as well as a visual medium to convey information about the agency's 25+ programs and services. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:ย 

  • Develop and implement a multimedia marketing strategy consistent with the brand and aligning with the agency's goals.
  • Serve as the agency's lead videographer and photographer, capturing program, staff, volunteer and event photography for marketing and fundraising needs
  • Utilize interviews, testimonials and other storytelling styles in video and audio format to strengthen emotional connections, engagement and marketing initiatives.
  • ย Manage all phases of video production, including concept development, scripting, directing, filming, editing, motion graphics and final delivery according to established timelines.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Manager and the Web & Graphic Designer to distribute and optimize videos on our public website, intranet, e-Newsletter and across social media channels.
  • ย Design and produce engaging print and digital marketing materials, for fundraising & event collateral, brochures, signage, social media graphics, advertisements, presentations and other program and campaign assets that effectively communicate the agency's mission and impact while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Review and edit promotional materials across the agency for marketing effectiveness and adherence to brand guidelines.ย 
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key vendors including videographers, printing companies, promotional product ย ย ย ย ย companies, etc. ย 
  • ย Perform other related duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of the agency

Requirements

ย ย MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:ย 

  • Demonstrate a passion for the mission of Catholic Charities.
  • Must be willing to perform by the agency's values: love, patience, kindness, faithfulness, self-control, and joy.
  • Catholic Charities promotes a diverse workforce.   • Must complete VIRTUS training, background screening, drug testing, and any ongoing training as required.
  • 1-3 years of video and photography experience required.
  • 1-3 years of graphic design experience creating both print and digital collateral, required.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or a related field is required.
  • Proven background in creative visual storytelling, video production, photography and graphic design.ย 
  • Project leadership skills including communication, organization, resourcefulness, attention to detail and ability to manage tight deadlines.
  • Effective communications skills: written, verbal, non-verbal, presentation. Ability to listen and take direction. Self-starter and ability to work well independently as well as with diverse individuals and groups.
  • High motivation for success coupled with diplomacy, tact, and consistent follow-through.
  • Strong filming and editing production skills required, including working with multi-cameras, audio and lighting set-up; must be ย ย ย ย ย proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, Audition and After Effects.ย 
  • Superior professionalism and judgment; strong work ethic.ย 
  • This role requires occasional work outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends.ย 
  • Bi-lingual Spanish proficiency preferred, but not essential.ย 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:ย 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, standing, bending and moving.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.ย 
  • Must have the physical ability to make visits to a variety of office locations and environments across the 21-county footprint.ย 
  • Must have physical ability to effectively communicate with others.
  • Must have the physical ability and appropriate licensure for driving.ย
