Job description

Location: Dallas, TX
Department: Marketing
Reports To: Director of Marketing
Mohr Partners is seeking a Video Production Intern to support the firm’s marketing department by recording and editing long- and short-form video content, and by coordinating with remote staff to capture footage for editing. This internship offers hands-on experience in videography, video editing, video production coordination and industry research. The ideal candidate will have a passion for videography and video editing, a willingness to learn and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders and remote staff members.
Responsibilities
  • Record long-form and short-form video footage for various marketing initiatives, including social media, website and promotional campaigns
  • Edit raw footage into polished long-form and short-form video content, incorporating music, graphics and titles as needed
  • Coordinate with remote staff members across our offices to schedule and capture video content when in-person recording is not feasible
  • Work closely with staff members and the marketing team to translate a rough concept into a polished final product, incorporating feedback throughout the process
  • Conduct research on industry best practices, emerging trends and like-kind video content to enhance our video production strategies
  • Assist in organizing and managing video files, ensuring easy accessibility and proper archiving
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide creative input for video concepts and storyboards

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Film, Video Production, Media Studies or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of videography techniques and equipment
  • Proficiency in video recording equipment and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) is a plus
  • Strong interest in learning about videography, video editing, video production coordination and industry best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with in-office and remote team members and manage multiple tasks
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving

Position Details
  • This internship is expected to begin at the start of the fall term, with potential for extension.
  • Part-time schedule of approximately 8 to 10 hours per week, with flexibility based on business need.
  • This is an in-office internship based in our Dallas, TX office. Video editing tasks may be completed remotely as needed, but recording and on-location work will require in-office presence.
