Position Summary:

Birchwood Automotive Group is looking for a creative and strategic Social Media and Content Specialist to help bring our brands to life across social media, digital marketing, and web. This role combines professional videography, photography, social media coordination, and content marketing into one position. You'll create engaging content that educates, entertains, and inspires while helping customers make informed decisions throughout their ownership journey.

Working across multiple automotive brands, you'll be responsible for planning, producing, editing, publishing, and measuring content that strengthens Birchwood's reputation and delivers an exceptional customer experience.


What You'll Do:

Content Strategy & Planning

• Execute content strategies across multiple Birchwood dealerships.

• Plan monthly content calendars aligned with marketing campaigns and business

objectives.

• Work directly with Content Marketing Manager to develop creative concepts for social

media, blogs, video campaigns, and digital initiatives.

• Identify content opportunities based on industry trends, customer questions, and platform

performance.

Video Production

• Plan and execute professional video shoots at dealerships and events.

• Operate DSLR, mirrorless and professional camera equipment.

• Capture high-quality video using proper lighting, framing and audio techniques.

• Direct on-camera talent to ensure natural, engaging performances.

• Edit long-form and short-form content for social platforms.

• Create promotional campaigns, educational videos, customer stories, testimonials and

vehicle features.

• Capture videos that align with SEO and AIO driven blogs.

• Produce educational content designed around customer search behaviour.

Photography

• Capture professional photography for social media, websites and marketing campaigns.

• Edit and optimize photography for multiple digital platforms.

Social Media Management

Qualifications:

Required

• Professional experience creating content for social media

• 1-3 years of experience in the content creation and social media industry

• Strong videography skills using professional camera equipment

• Advanced video editing experience

• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud

• Strong photography skills

• Experience writing engaging social media copy

• Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube

• Understanding of social media trends and platform best practices

• Excellent communication and storytelling skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

• Valid driver's license


Preferred

• Marketing, Communications or Creative Media education
