BSU's Career Services and Internships Office engages with students and alumni to design career and life plans. We empower students to build confidence and professional skills through career advising, resources, programs, and experiential learning opportunities. We also facilitate career readiness and connect students with employment opportunities through partnerships with employers, faculty, staff, and alumni to achieve a lifetime of career success.
POSITION INFORMATIONAs the Photographer and Videographer Assistant, you will be a key member of our marketing team capturing and producing engaging visual content that highlights Career Services and Internships events and student experiences. This position offers exposure to photography, videography, video editing, visual storytelling and content creation while helping strengthen the Career Services & Internships office brand.
Key ResponsibilitiesPhotography and Videography:
  • Capture high-quality photos and videos at campus events, workshops, employer programs, and office initiatives.
  • Produce visual content that showcases student engagement and promotes Career Services and Internships.
  • Maintain organized digital files of photos and videos for future marketing use.

Video Editing and Content Creation:
  • Edit videos for social media, promotional campaigns, presentations, and other marketing materials.
  • Create short-form video content using editing software while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Assist with creating multimedia content that supports office communications and outreach.

Marketing and Event Support:
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop visual assets for digital and print campaigns.
  • Assist with event promotion by capturing live content during programs and special events.
  • Provide general operational support for office initiatives.

Street Team
  • Represent the office by capturing photos and videos during campus outreach events and promotional activities.

Eligibility requirements:Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all positions are filled.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar platforms is highly preferred.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Film, Media Arts, Marketing, Graphic Design, Photography, or a related field.
  • Experience creating content for social media platforms is strongly preferred.

Requirements
  • Enthusiasm about taking on new projects and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, or YouTube.
  • Prior photography & videography experience
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new equipment, software, and creative techniques as needed.
  • The position requires approximately 5-10 hours per week.
