The Expertise We're Looking For
  • Multiple years of Advanced Front-End HTML and CSS coding experience, specifically in Email

  • Email service platform provider (ESP) knowledge, systems, information technology a plus (specifically Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Sales Cloud, Adobe Target)

  • Experience with one or more of the following areas: digital production, MarTech, marketing, and/or creative highly desired

  • Email Development subject matter expert with experience building emails, automations, and journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud

  • With proven knowledge of how to solve for

    • Complex dynamic content scenarios

    • Use of shared templates, scripts, and content

    • Cross Email client rendering issues such as Dark Mode, Outlook-specific limitations, and Embedded Video Player compatibility and capabilities

  • With experience contributing to release management processes and production installs

  • Execute email campaignsutilizing email marketing best practices to create and code interactive experiences to support business initiatives.

  • A clear understanding of impact to a firm's reputation if they are flagged by blacklisting groups

  • Email service platform provider (ESP) knowledge, systems, information technology a plus (specifically Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Sales Cloud, Adobe Target)

  • Advanced HTML and CSS coding experience, specifically in Email

  • SQL Query experience is a plus.

The Purpose of Your Role

As a Senior Email Developer within the central marketing function of Fidelity Investments, your role is to enhance, expand, and support our systems that deepen our relationship with millions of our customers by using data to plan and execute personal, relevant, and timely promotional, service and regulatory email communications. In this capacity, you will serve as Fidelity's Center of Excellence on current and emerging practices and technologies that power our customer obsessed email marketing programs. You will be responsible for ongoing process documentation, training, troubleshooting, problem solving on our Salesforce Marketing Cloud, email platform. You will apply your Salesforce Marketing Cloud expertise to help the team to continue to innovate and increase efficiency.

The Value You Deliver

The Senior Email Developer will liaise across multiple teams to:

  • Learn the existing email documentation, procedures and interactions with the goal to streamline and simplify these processes.

  • Build, edit, deploy emails, and code logic branching using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) on their Content Builder and AMPscripting platforms as well as their Journey Builder capability

  • Collaborate with technology teams to onboard new email capabilities and requirements on Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC)

  • Lead and/or support cross-organizational projects as a subject matter expert for email channel, including but not limited to: template specifications, technical design, channel best practice, executional process and principles, data feed analysis, and platform capabilities

How Your Work Impacts the Organization

The Email Engineering and Marketing Orchestration (EEMO) Team works cross-functionally to support the end-to-end enablement and implementation of PWI emails and journeys. Additionally, the team provides leadership/support to enhance process/procedure efficiency for email programs, and collaborates with partners to drive program/campaign effectiveness through capability enablement, implementation design, customer journey mapping, channel reporting, etc.

Fidelity's Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000-171,000 USD per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
