What we need:

The Safety Coordinator is an entry-level role that provides support in implementing and maintaining safety policies and programs by coordinating, delivering, and keeping records on safety training to promote an accident-free workplace that complies with local, state, and federal laws. This role helps promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment by helping to collaborate with various departments to minimize workplace hazards and foster a culture of safety.

 

What you'll do:

  • Ensure practices comply with Mohawk and government safety regulations.
  • Create and maintain detailed safety records.
  • Assist with safety audits in facilities to ensure that regulations are being followed, correct any unsanctioned practices, and identify any gaps in training.
  • Assist in investigations of accidents and near-misses.
  • Communicate regularly with other safety personnel to ensure that there is consistency throughout the company.
  • Monitor safety statistics and respond to trends and patterns.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

 

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
