Job Summary/Description:
WALA/FOX10, the Gulf Coast's leading news station, is looking for an energetic Multimedia Journalist to join our Mobile/Pensacola newsroom. We need a journalist
who follows the news closely, develops strong hard-news leads, and brings forward original story ideas-not just the day's press releases. The right candidate is a clear
communicator, skilled visual storyteller, and comfortable creating for social platforms. This role is for someone willing to request public records, review documents
and meeting agendas, and uncover stories that matter to the communities we serve. You will identify, pitch, report, shoot, write, edit, and publish compelling stories,
including daily live shots. The successful candidate will be organized, motivated, creative, and an active digital content creator.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Deliver live reports each day for multiple newscasts
* Shoot, write, edit, and publish stories across platforms
* Produce accurate, engaging work on tight deadlines
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Strong broadcast and digital writing skills
* Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism or a related field
* Proven ability to work independently and take initiative
* Familiarity with modern television news equipment, content-management systems, and social media platforms

* Must meet the requirements of a motor-vehicle-record check
