The UFC is seeking a Video Colorist to join our Emmy Award-winning production team in Las Vegas. The ideal candidate will have experience coloring a wide array of long form, short form, and promotional content across various media platforms. We're seeking a creative and technically proficient colorist who understands the unique color challenges and trends in commercial and documentary work. The ideal candidate is proficient in Davinci Resolve and stays up-to-date with the latest color grading techniques, software advancements, and industry standards, ensuring visually compelling and technically consistent results.
Responsibilities:
  • Color a variety of long form content, including but not limited to feature length documentaries, episodic series, and supporting promotional elements.
  • Ensure color consistency and visual cohesion across all footage, meeting high-end industry standards.
  • Work with RAW footage from high-end cinema cameras (e.g., ARRI, RED, Sony) and manage log-to-final-grade workflows.
  • Performing advanced color correction and grading with Davinci Resolve, to enhance the artistic and emotional impact of each scene/show.
  • Creating tailored looks to be replicated through a series.
  • Color balancing multiple cameras and lighting conditions in a docuseries to best maintain a consistent look
  • Collaborate closely with producers, cinematographers, and editors to bring their creative vision to life through color.
  • Maintain organized project files, LUT libraries, and node-based grading structures to ensure smooth workflows.
  • Work efficiently under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects with consistent high-quality results.
  • Stay at the forefront of color science innovations, industry trends, and evolving grading techniques to push creative boundaries.

You Have These:
  • Proven experience as a Video Colorist in film, television, or commercial post-production, with a strong portfolio.
  • Must be proficient in DaVinci Resolve, with advanced knowledge of node-based grading, secondary color corrections, film emulation techniques, and look development.
  • Strong understanding of color theory, contrast ratios, film stock emulation, and how to shape mood through color grading.
  • Must have knowledge of color spaces, LUT creation, HDR/SDR workflows, and the latest post-production standards (Rec. 709, Rec. 2020, P3, etc.).
  • Experience with RAW color workflows and proficiency in handling camera log formats (ARRI LogC, RED IPP2, Sony S-Log, D-Log, etc.).
  • Keen eye for detail with the ability to diagnose and correct issues like color shifts, noise artifacts, and exposure imbalances.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot color pipeline issues.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, balancing creative precision with fast turnaround times.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate creative direction into precise color adjustments.
  • Strong ability to self-manage projects while also thriving in a team-driven creative pipeline.
  • Experience coloring documentaries is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Davinci Resolve Advanced Control Panel is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Dolby Vision HDR grading is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is necessary.
  • Must maintain discretion and confidential information.
  • Experience in a sports environment preferred. Knowledge of MMA is a plus.
  • Work hours will typically take place Monday through Friday, but candidate will be expected to work occasional nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Candidates will be subject to a color grading test to assess technical ability and aptitude.
