Job Summary
- Perform electro-mechanical, mechanical, and optical product assembly operations on components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
- Determine and/or follow prescribed methods and sequence of operations for wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and assembly fitting.
- Work 100% on-site, Monday-Thursday, 6am-4:30pm (with scheduled breaks and lunch).
- Assemble camera heads, working closely with the production lead and team members.
- Engage in manual assembly and inspection tasks, handling small components (under 3 lbs) using fine hand movements.
- Spend significant time (about half the day) performing optical cleaning, inspection, and assembly under a microscope.
- Rotate among various assembly operations, with training provided for each step.
- Clean and inspect optical elements for defects prior to assembly.
- Bond, cure (UV), align, and install optical elements and sensors into assemblies.
- Solder electronic components and assemble mechanical parts for medical video products (soldering is a plus, but not required).
- Inspect and test assembled optical products for quality assurance.
- Participate in continuous improvement teams to enhance product and process quality.
- Follow ESD and safety requirements at all times.
- Assemble both current production and prototype/pilot products.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Work effectively as a team player in a clean, medical production environment.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Previous experience in a clean, medical production environment and optical assembly is preferred.
