Job description

Overview:
This position performs shipping and receiving responsibilities for company products and equipment. This position reports to the local Office Manager.
Essential Functions:

  • Completes daily receiving entries in a software system.
  • Participate in the management of raw materials and critical supply inventories, including maintenance and cleaning of inventory area, inventory organization and racking, inventory cycle counting and reporting, and routine inventory accounting.
  • Perform Quality Control inspection of inbound and outbound cases, equipment, and accessories,
  • Performs general housekeeping, maintenance, and organization of the dock and inventory areas; includes hands-on cleaning and maintenance along with organization and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other departments. Conform to the 6S process.  
  • Responsible for all warehouse functions including palletizing, de-palletizing, inbound/outbound order verification, and shipping/receiving duties, including lift truck and warehouse equipment operation.  
  • Adherence to warehouse safety requirements and protocols.
  • Works closely with Logistics and performs cross-functional duties with other departments.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities.  
Work Environment:
Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and warehouse environments and is regularly exposed to heavy machinery and noise.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. The days and hours of office operation are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm. The specific schedule for this position is a 40-hour work week within the hours of business operation. Occasional evening and weekend work are required as job duties demand as well as a 24/7 rotational on-call schedule.
Travel:
Travel may be required for this position as mandated by the needs of the 11 Nationwide locations which would include out-of-area and overnight travel.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Forklift Certification
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an industrial environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Forklift Certification
  • 2+ year of experience in a related field
  • 1 year of A/V technical experience
  • Associate degree or technical certificate in a related field
