To get an apprenticeship as a video apprentice, seek opportunities with production companies, film studios, or media organizations that offer entry-level training programs. Some programs may require a high school diploma or relevant coursework, and gaining hands-on experience through volunteering or internships is beneficial.

Video apprenticeships typically offer lower pay compared to other skilled trades, but some high-paying apprentice roles include electrical, plumbing, and HVAC apprenticeships, which can pay between $15 and $30 per hour or more as skills develop. Advanced apprenticeships in specialized fields or with union programs may also provide higher wages and benefits.

Is 27 too old for an apprenticeship?

Video apprenticeships are open to individuals of various ages, including those in their late 20s. Age is generally not a barrier, and employers often value diverse experiences and skills, especially in creative fields like video production. Success depends more on your skills, portfolio, and willingness to learn than on age.
