Job description

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager, Technical to lead Prime Video's premium, sponsorship, and native ad products. In this role, you will own the product vision and roadmap for sponsorship experiences, new ad formats, and interactive capabilities that transform how brands show up in the streaming experience, from native placements that meet viewers at peak-attention moments to premium sponsorships that give advertisers ownership of cultural moments, to commerce-connected experiences that bridge brand storytelling and measurable business outcomes.
This is a rare opportunity to shape a high-growth business at the intersection of premium video, advertising innovation, and Amazon's commerce ecosystem. Our launched products include Sponsorships, First Impression Takeover (FITO) and Pause Ads, available across multiple countries with hundreds of advertisers. We're now expanding into new native video formats, interactive shoppable experiences, AI-powered creative personalization, and omni-channel campaign orchestration available programmatically through Amazon DSP.
Key job responsibilities
- Define the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for Prime Video's premium sponsorships, native ads, and innovative ad format development
- Obsess over the Prime Video viewer experience, ensuring every ad format enhances rather than disrupts the content journey
- Drive cross-functional execution with engineering, applied science, design, sales, and measurement teams to launch new ad products globally
- Partner with advertisers and agencies to understand brand objectives, validate product concepts, and drive adoption at scale
- Own success metrics including revenue growth, advertiser adoption, viewer experience, and brand lift outcomes
- Lead cross-video omni-channel innovation, enabling brands to orchestrate unified campaigns across Prime Video and broader Amazon surfaces through a single programmatic workflow
- Identify and prioritize opportunities where Amazon's unique combination of premium content, first-party audience signals, and commerce data creates differentiated ad experiences no other publisher can offer
A day in the life
The right candidate will combine deep product management expertise with a passion for CTV/video advertising and a customer obsession for both viewers and advertisers. You will define the product strategy for premium and sponsorship ad experiences, work directly with advertisers and sales teams to understand needs, partner with engineering and applied science teams to deliver innovative formats at scale, and drive go-to-market execution. You'll operate at the intersection of brand advertising and performance marketing, proving that premium ad experiences deliver both emotional impact and measurable result
About the team
Prime Video reaches hundreds of millions of global viewers with premium streaming content, from Original series and blockbuster films to live sports and short-form creator content. The Prime Video Ads team within Amazon Publisher Monetization (APM) is building the future of streaming advertising, creating innovative ad experiences that connect brands with engaged audiences at the moments that matter most.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience technical product management
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
