Job Title: Case Worker RESOLVE
Reports To: RESOLVE Program Director
Organization: Tejano Center
Division: RESOLVE Program
Location: 3103 McKinney Street, Houston, TX 77003
POSITION SUMMARY
The Resolve Case Worker provides direct services to victims of crime and abuse through case management, crisis intervention, advocacy, referrals, and education. This position works closely with clients to promote safety, stability, and access to community resources while maintaining compliance with grant and program requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, Victim Studies, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
Relevant experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
Experience
- Experience working with victims of crime, abuse, or trauma preferred.
- Experience in case management, crisis intervention, or human services preferred.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass required background screenings.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of victim services and community resources.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work compassionately with individuals experiencing crisis and trauma.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic case management systems.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with community partners.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Working Conditions:
- Office and community-based work with local travel.
Occasional evening and weekend work as needed
