Who We Are Looking For

Global Treasury Risk Management (GTRM), part of State Street's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function, is seeking a Vice President (VP) level risk leader to join its Quarterly Stress Testing team. This role is suited for a seasoned risk professional with deep expertise in stress testing, capital planning, and balance sheet risk, who can provide strategic direction, strong governance, and leadership across complex, enterprisewide processes.

ERM's mission is to ensure that State Street's risks are proactively identified, wellunderstood, and prudently managed in support of the firm's business strategy. GTRM provides independent risk oversight of Global Treasury activities, including capital management, liquidity risk, assetliability risk, funding, and rating agency engagement.

The Quarterly Stress Testing team plays a critical role in capital adequacy assessment, regulatory compliance, and risk appetite management. As a VP, you will lead key elements of stress testing design and execution, influence senior stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement across methodologies, controls, and governance.

What You Will Be Responsible For

As a Vice President on the Quarterly Stress Testing team, you will:

  • Lead the design, execution, and governance of quarterly stress testing processes supporting capital planning and risk management
  • Drive development of rapid stress testing capabilities
  • Provide subjectmatter expertise on scenario design, linkage of scenarios to material risks, and identification of addon risk considerations
  • Oversee assessments of the firm's capital adequacy relative to internal risk appetite and regulatory expectations
  • Provide independent review and challenge of regional ICAAP and ICARA processes, including scenario design and results
  • Contribute to material risk identification framework enhancements
  • Act as a senior point of contact for stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Treasury, and Internal Audit, ensuring alignment with firm objectives
  • Drive risk appetite limit recalibration discussions and challenge assumptions where appropriate
  • Ensure stress testing processes are wellcontrolled, documented, and compliant with regulatory and internal policy requirements
  • Identify and lead process improvements and remediation efforts, promoting a strong control culture and continuous improvement mindset
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, contributing to talent development and team effectiveness
  • Support regulatory exams, internal audits, and senior management reviews, including preparation of highquality materials and presentations

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a STEM discipline preferred

Salary Range:

$130,000 - $220,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
