Job description

Clear Align is seeking leader as Vice President of Business Development to drive the company's next phase of growth by winning and expanding U.S. Defense and international surveillance programs. This leader will combine strategic vision with hands‑on execution, personally developing customer relationships, writing winning proposals, shaping requirements, and leading capture efforts from opportunity identification through contract award.

The successful candidate will establish key relationships with customers, understand mission requirements, work with engineering to develop technical solutions, write compelling proposals, and coach business development team to be a high performing team. Success will directly contribute to Clear Align's mission of helping our customers See Clearly and Act Decisively through advanced electro‑optic, infrared imaging, AI‑enabled sensing, and C4ISR surveillance systems.

Position Requirements

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive business development, capture management, or defense sales leadership.
  • Proven record of winning large DoD, DHS, or intelligence community contracts, including Programs of Record.
  • Demonstrated experience personally writing successful proposals and capture documents—not simply managing proposal teams.
  • Exceptional technical and defense acquisition expertise, with a proven ability to position advanced technologies for successful government procurement. Familiarity with EO/IR imaging systems, surveillance cameras, electro‑optical sensors, integrated ISR platforms, and related military technologies is highly preferred and will enable rapid success in the role.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional capture teams involving engineering, operations, finance, and executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high‑performing business development professionals.
  • Comfortable adopting AI and emerging digital tools to improve efficiency, automate routine work, and create a competitive advantage in business development, capture and marketing activities.
  • Willingness to travel to support customer engagement and capture activities.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting DoW, CBP, SOCOM, Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, or Intelligence Community customers.
  • Existing relationships with major defense primes including Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, L3Harris, Leonardo, DRS, Thales, or similar organizations.
Experience with EO/IR cameras, border surveillance, counter‑UAS, force protection, or AI‑enabled sensing technologies.
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
At Clear Align we have a clear vision: to be the place where a diverse mix of talented people come, stay and do their best work. We pride ourselves on bringing the best infrared surveillance solutions, and we know our company runs on the hard work and dedication of our passionate and creative employees.
