Position Overview

The Vice President, Investments is responsible for leading investment sourcing, evaluation, execution, and portfolio management initiatives. This role blends strategic thinking, financial analysis, and operational oversight, supporting the firm’s investment objectives while mentoring junior team members.

The VP of Investments works closely with senior leadership, portfolio managers, deal teams, and external partners to drive investment decisions and optimize portfolio performance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead sourcing and evaluation of investment opportunities across relevant asset classes (private equity, credit, growth equity, or alternative investments)

  • Conduct in-depth due diligence, financial modeling, and valuation analysis for potential investments

  • Structure, negotiate, and execute transactions, ensuring alignment with investment strategy and risk parameters

  • Monitor and manage portfolio performance, including risk exposure, covenants, and returns

  • Prepare investment memos, committee presentations, and reporting for senior management and investors

  • Mentor and guide junior investment professionals on analysis, diligence, and portfolio management

  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure proper documentation and execution

  • Stay informed on market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to inform investment strategy


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; CFA, MBA, or equivalent preferred

  • 5+ years of relevant investment experience, ideally with experience in private equity, private credit, or alternative investments

  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring

  • Experience leading deal teams and managing junior staff

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills

  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SQL, Python, or portfolio management tools is a plus
