Responsibilities

  • The VP Director is responsible for setting the standards and practices, driving adoption across the engineering organization. This leader manages a team of highly skilled DevOps engineers embedded in delivery teams to realize OneMain objectives driven through cloud operations.
  • Lead the organization's cloud and DevOps strategy, ensuring successful delivery of complex technical solutions across our operating companies. Define and implement the global strategy for DevOps practices, aligning it with the overall organizational goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with multiple stakeholders including engineering, Information Security, networking to oversee the successful delivery of complex technical solutions, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
  • Drive innovation and the adoption of DevOps culture, principles, and practices across the organization, promoting collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement
  • Manage expenses to budget and always focus on optimizing the portfolio for streamlined operation
  • Drive innovation within the organization by promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement in cloud and DevOps practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practices for cloud and DevOps processes and tools
  • Ensure compliance with security and data privacy protocols for all DevOps projects
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators and metrics for the Cloud and DevOps Delivery team, adjusting and improving as needed
  • Lead and manage a team of DevOps professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise
  • Establish and maintain effective CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth integration and deployment processes while eliminating disruptions to customer experience.
  • Assist with developing and monitoring controls related to Cloud and Emerging Technologies and to meet applicable security, audit, regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; advanced degree desired. Preferred AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional Certification.
  • 8+ years working with public cloud services providers specifically AWS - as a consumption of platform services and automation and scaling of services.
  • Experience with platform-based technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry and Jenkins.
  • Strong engineering, communication, operational and organizational skills. Proven ability to recruit, motivate and mentor geographically distributed high-performing teams.
  • Experienced in streamlining and modernizing OnPrem data centers by adopting a unified DevOps approach across the public and private cloud with containerization and infrastructure as code.
  • Strong troubleshooting and process management skills.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale initiatives/transformations.
