We're seeking a future team member for the role of VP, Market Intelligence/Research/Strategy. This role is located in New York, City, NY.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Vice President of Market Intelligence/Research/Strategy for the Global Clearing platform plays a critical role in advancing BNY's strategic objectives through data-driven insights and market analysis. This position is pivotal in maintaining BNY's competitive edge by leveraging comprehensive data and quantitative analysis to inform strategic decision-making. The role aligns with BNY's strategic pillars by fostering innovation and enhancing client value, embodying the principles of integrity and excellence. As a key member of the Market Intelligence/Research/Strategy family, the Vice President is responsible for extracting actionable insights from complex datasets, driving strategic initiatives, and supporting the organization's long-term goals.

You will be focused on helping the team assess how market structure, regulatory, and technology trends are shaping the evolution of Fed, DTC and International Markets on the trading, clearing and settlement fronts, and helping recommend where we should focus and prioritize our efforts. We are data focused using the vast data across the Fed Clearance market where we sit as the primary clearing Bank, the DTC Markets where we have multiple fast-growing opportunities through our Outsourced Clearing business as well as our International Clearance business. Distributed ledger technology, stablecoins and AI are fast impacting the space, and our strategy requires an analyst comfortable with technology and with the curiosity to help develop ideas in these frontier areas, in the context of a fast-changing regulatory landscape.ย 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis by utilizing advanced data and quantitative techniques to provide strategic insights.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance BNY's market position, by demonstrating expertise in market intelligence methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and drive innovation through data-driven decision-making.ย 
  • Lead projects that require comprehensive research and strategic planning, ensuring alignment with BNY's strategic pillars and principles.ย 
  • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to anticipate market shifts and capitalize on opportunities for growth.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.ย 

EXPERIENCE

  • 5-10 years of experience.ย 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a proven ability to analyze complex data sets.ย 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey insights and strategies.ย 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively with diverse teams.

    Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award.
