Job Summary: The Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Events is responsible for the strategic leadership, revenue growth, brand development, and operational oversight of Insignia Event Services' venue portfolio. This role leads all proactive and reactive sales efforts, marketing initiatives, event management, and event operations to maximize venue utilization, profitability, and client satisfaction across Sportsman's Park, Heritage at Sportsman's Park, State Farm Stadium-related events, and other managed venues. As a member of the leadership team, the Vice President develops and executes sales and marketing strategies, cultivates key client and community relationships, oversees event execution, and fosters a culture aligned with The Insignia Way. This position serves as the primary leader responsible for driving business growth while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
Essential Responsibilities Sales & Revenue Growth
  • Develop and execute proactive and reactive sales strategies to achieve revenue, booking, and profitability goals.
  • Drive venue sales through prospecting, relationship building, networking, client outreach, referrals, RFP responses, and strategic partnerships.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across corporate, social, sports, entertainment, nonprofit, festival, and community event markets.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline, forecasting, proposal development, contract negotiations, and closing strategies.
  • Analyze market conditions, competitive activity, customer trends, and venue performance to identify growth opportunities and increase market share.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, promoters, event planners, sponsors, vendors, and community organizations.
  • Serve as the primary sales leader and customer advocate for the organization.

Marketing & Brand Leadership
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that generate leads, increase venue awareness, and drive revenue.
  • Oversee digital marketing, social media, public relations, advertising, promotions, website content, and brand messaging.
  • Identify innovative marketing opportunities and partnerships that strengthen the Insignia brand and support business objectives.
  • Manage marketing budgets and evaluate campaign effectiveness through data-driven analysis and reporting.

Events & Operations Leadership
  • Provide strategic oversight of the Events Department and event operations team.
  • Ensure seamless execution of events from booking through post-event review.
  • Oversee event planning, production, client services, staffing, logistics, venue readiness, safety protocols, and operational standards.
  • Ensure all event details are communicated effectively across departments and executed to the highest standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with partners, vendors, and service providers to deliver exceptional event experiences while maximizing operational efficiency.

Financial & Business Management
  • Develop departmental budgets, forecasts, revenue projections, and business plans.
  • Monitor financial performance, labor expenses, operational costs, and profitability metrics.
  • Evaluate new revenue opportunities, partnerships, and service offerings that support business growth.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor, client, and service agreements to ensure favorable business outcomes.
  • Provide weekly financial and operational reporting to executive leadership.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, develop, and evaluate sales, marketing, event team members.
  • Establish clear goals, performance expectations, accountability measures, and development plans.
  • Promote collaboration and communication across all departments.
  • Partner with Human Resources to recruit, retain, and develop high-performing talent.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience in operations, entertainment, communications, and/or business administration
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in sales, marketing, events, hospitality, sports, entertainment, venue management, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through proactive business development and reactive sales strategies.
  • Experience leading event management and event operations teams.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and business planning.
  • Demonstrated success in contract negotiations, client relationship management, and strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM, project management, and event management platforms preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.
