Vice President for Statewide and Online Education

Utah State University (USU) seeks an accomplished, visionary, and highly collaborative leader to serve as Vice President for Statewide and Online Education.

Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President will position Utah State at the forefront of accessible, place-based, and digitally enabled education, ensuring that learners throughout Utah and beyond can benefit from the opportunities only USU can provide. In this reimagined cabinet-level role, the Vice President will help to shape the future of educational access at Utah State, integrating statewide and online education into a cohesive strategy that expands opportunity while honoring the university’s land-grant mission.

The Vice President will champion innovative approaches to teaching and learning that serve adult, rural, workforce, and lifelong learners, including residential, commuter, transfer, hybrid, and fully online students. By aligning strategy, resources, and partnerships across the university, the Vice President will create a seamless educational experience that supports learners wherever they are and at each stage of their educational journey.

The successful candidate will respect and build upon the rich history, strong community relationships, and unique strengths of USU’s statewide campuses while fostering greater collaboration, alignment, and innovation across the university and the state. Candidates must have a master’s degree. An earned doctorate or terminal degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
