Engineering Division - Dallas - Vice President, Risk Governance - 10427762 location_on Dallas, TX, United States

Job Duties: Vice President, Risk Governance with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas, Texas. Responsible for identifying, analyzing, and monitoring areas of risk as it pertains to business processes and controls. Responsible for determining, negotiating and agreeing on firm/business quality procedures, standards and specifications. Assess business requirements and ensuring that these are met; acting as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality; monitoring performance. Ensure appropriate oversight for the risk profile of the aligned segment. Establish effective supervisory structures, appropriate segment governance forums, including divisional operational risk and resilience councils (“ORRCs”). Attend regular risk meetings to review exceptions across business units, ask probing questions to establish potential market, client, and other risks that may be contained within aligned workflows. Identify risks within the operational risk profile of the segment, including emerging risks. Share risk best practice across teams and functions, as well as with other business lines where processes exist or there is exposure to similar risks, thereby ensuring effective controls are in place to mitigate those risks. Assess Inherent Risks (IRs) and Residual Risks (RRs) to ensure Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) risk and control review accurately reflects the current risk environment and quality of operational controls. Define thematic RCSA issues to help structure remediation plans regarding significant open risks or control deficiencies and aid with execution of Control Assurance requirements for in-scope controls. Socialize lessons learned to improve our risk and control framework.

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related risk governance role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related risk governance role.Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience (with a Master’s degree) OR five (5) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s degree) with: performing statistically driven analysis using various data analytical techniques to identify trends and propose process enhancements; creating, developing, and enhancing probabilistic and deterministic financial models; leveraging knowledge of regulatory capital regimes, including the Basel and CCAR framework, to calculate and optimize return on equity; running scenario analyses, including stressed loss calculations, used in various efforts to minimize a segment’s exposure to market dislocations and economic shocks, and preparing associated summary presentations for management; visualizing complex data analyses from raw data in risk management reports, using visualization tools such as Tableau, and communicating results to a wide variety of audiences; leveraging analytics and automation experience to propose effective and efficient methods to enhance testing and sampling strategies to ensure the most effective risk detection and analyses; and developing processes and tools to identify and monitor data accuracy.
