Job description


We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Performance & Analytics Systems Lead to join our Performance & Compliance Engineering team. This role is located in Boston, MA or Lake Mary, FL.
The ideal candidate will support integration of new data analytics data sets and the definition and implementation of new analytics products for investment portfolio analysis, performance measurement, and risk analytics.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with business and technology teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into functional requirements, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Analyze and document data and performance workflows, reporting processes, data lineage, business rules, and control points
  • Configure, maintain, and document Performance measurement calculation setup, parameters, system settings, and related controls
  • Support operational workflow for the definition and execution of the performance measurement, risk and analytics processes including client, account, and vendor data set-up, definition and configuration of calculation and analytic profiles, data validation, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Define designs and configurations for one or more 3rd party and internally developed applications supporting the Performance & Compliance group.
  • Work with financial data domains supporting performance, attribution, analytics, and risk processing and reporting, including holdings, transactions, pricing, FX, benchmark, reference, cash activity, corporate actions, and account data
  • Partner with engineering and data teams on data integration, mapping, and downstream processing
  • Validate set-up and calculation outputs, reconciliations, data quality checks, and reporting results
  • Lead testing, implementation, and change management for new capabilities including the automation of user, integration, and regression testing.
  • Troubleshoot product and client issues, data flow errors and configuration defects.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Typically 6-10 years of experience.
  • Experience in investment analytics, performance measurement, reporting, investment operations or compliance.
  • Strong understanding of financial data used in performance, investment analytics, and reporting.
  • Experience documenting workflows, system interactions, data mappings, and functional requirements.
  • Strong SQL skills for validating data, reporting logic, and calculation outputs.
  • Prior experience in or exposure to a business systems analyst or technology product owner role.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across business, operations, and technology teams.
  • Experience with or strong interest in AI-assisted tools and applying them to improve engineering effectiveness and solution quality
  • Familiarity with vendor software and data providers such as Eagle Performance, MSCI, Aladdin a plus.
