Position Summary
Horizon Credit Union is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Marketing to lead and oversee all marketing initiatives that support the Credit Union's growth, brand awareness, member engagement, and business objectives. This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, directing advertising and promotional campaigns, managing digital and traditional marketing channels, and ensuring all marketing efforts align with the Credit Union's mission, values, and strategic goals.
The Vice President of Marketing will lead a talented marketing team, drive innovative member communication strategies, oversee brand management, and use market research and performance analytics to identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage strategic marketing plans that support short-term and long-term organizational objectives.
  • Lead all advertising, promotional, and marketing campaigns for Credit Union products and services.
  • Oversee brand management and ensure consistent messaging across all member-facing channels.
  • Direct digital marketing initiatives, including website management, social media, email marketing, and online communications.
  • Analyze market trends, member needs, competitor offerings, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and product enhancement.
  • Establish and monitor marketing performance metrics, campaign effectiveness, member engagement trends, and return on investment.
  • Manage the Marketing Department, including hiring, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and professional development of team members.
  • Develop marketing budgets and allocate resources to maximize effectiveness and achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support organizational goals and ensure effective communication across the Credit Union.
  • Plan and coordinate special events, community outreach initiatives, and the Credit Union's Annual Meeting.
  • Assist in developing policies, procedures, and training programs that support efficient and effective marketing operations.
  • Champion Horizon Credit Union's culture, values, and mission through positive leadership and member-focused service.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Several years of progressive marketing experience, including leadership and team management responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of branding, advertising, digital marketing, content strategy, and member engagement.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic marketing plans and budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, interpret market trends, and make data-driven business decisions.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Financial services or credit union experience preferred.
