Job description

Great River Health is seeking a strategic and collaborative Vice President of Pharmacy in Southeast Iowa to lead system-wide pharmacy services across three hospital campuses, four retail pharmacies, long‑term care, and specialty pharmacy operations. This executive will drive clinical excellence, operational performance, and regulatory compliance while advancing medication management and patient outcomes across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all pharmacy services
  • Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and resource optimization
  • Lead 340B program, supply chain operations, and medication safety initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards
  • Partner with executive leadership, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to improve care delivery
  • Develop pharmacy leaders and build a high‑performing team
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred)
  • 7‑9 years of progressive pharmacy leadership experience
  • Strong background in healthcare operations, financial management, and regulatory compliance
  • Iowa Pharmacist licensure (or eligibility within 90 days)
