General Description
The Vice President will provide oversight of a national portfolio of contracts. They will handle internal and external affairs for divisions and oversee the director(s) of the contract or the portfolio of contracts. They will also help set company goals, develop business strategies, and evaluate performance for the executive team. The Vice President will be able to successfully manage and expand organizational objectives and deliver long-term performance gains to the company.
Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight of a national portfolio of contracts
  • Support the organization’s strategic vision and mission through the development and support of policies, programs and practices that integrate and align with our strategic priorities
  • Function as a strategic business advisor to senior management
  • Responsible for oversight of business development efforts and assigned geographies
  • Work with local teams to build policies and procedures
  • Leverage resources from our other contracts around the country
  • Supervise Program Director(s), providing ongoing counsel
  • Interface with workforce board leadership
  • Collaborate with other partners and stakeholders
  • Provide high-level strategy and oversight consulting
  • Oversee all start-up, staff recruitment, training, and development
  • Coordinate partnership development
  • Coordinate corporate resources for budgeting, financial and facilities management, HR, Quality, and IT
  • Assume oversight responsibilities of newly acquired contracts across the nation
  • Work with program leadership to establish continuous quality improvement metrics
Work and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in public policy, management, organizational leadership preferred
  • Ability to travel at minimum 50% of time
  • 10 years of experience in workforce development preferred
  • 10 years of experience managing a workforce development staff preferred
  • Strong management, business, communications, and organizational skills
