Vice President of Engineering
This full-time leadership opportunity is with a rapidly growing SaaS organization serving the construction, facilities, and asset management space. The company is modernizing its platform with a cloud-native architecture, AI-driven development practices, and enterprise-scale web applications built on PHP/Laravel, Angular/TypeScript, cloud infrastructure, and microservices.
The Vice President of Engineering will serve as both the technical leader and principal engineer for the organization, remaining deeply involved in software development while helping guide the overall technical direction of the platform. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys writing code, reviewing architecture, mentoring engineers, and solving complex technical challenges while partnering closely with executive leadership.
You'll play a key role in platform modernization initiatives, AI adoption across the development lifecycle, and the continued evolution of the company's engineering practices. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building features, designing systems, and leading a small, high-performing engineering team.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • 3+ years of engineering leadership experience
  • Strong hands-on development experience with modern web applications
  • Experience designing and building scalable SaaS platforms
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, microservices, and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience working across both frontend and backend development
  • Ability to lead technical projects while remaining actively involved in coding
