Qualifications

The VP of Operations is the regional senior leader, supporting the operations of multiple practices throughout a region in multiple States. The incumbent plans, directs, coordinates and supervises all program activities in the region to ensure that company and client goals are met. The incumbent shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to company-wide program development, quality improvement, problem-solving, productivity enhancement and profitability in a cross departmental and interdisciplinary environment.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the operational, financial, and clinical success for each designated practice. Key functions include mentoring, problem-solving, brainstorming, and enabling the Senior PD /PD and Area Manager to achieve optimal clinical operational success. Maintains consistent communication with and reports to SVP of Operations Visits all assigned facilities at least once in 3 months, with availability to Senior PDs / PDs and AM's via phone and email on an ongoing basis Meets with Administrator (ED), DON (DHS), and other key facility leadership during visits, in conjunction with the Senior PD / PD, and is available via phone on an ongoing basis. During facility visits, focuses on assuring all patient needs are being met, treatment is well-documented, and the practice operates efficiently. Contacts all Administrators at least once in 3 months regarding rehab practice performance and customer satisfaction. Conducts business review with customers once in 3 months. Functions as a resource for program / caseload / business development Assures effective and efficient coordination of staff among facilities where possible. Helps identify growth opportunities in area in conjunction with Director of Business Development Participates in meetings with potential customers. Facilitates start-up of new contracts Interviews, hires, and orients new Senior PDs / PDs and AM's. Facilitates monthly clinical operation reviews of all designated facilities. Completes annual performance reviews of Senior PDs / PDs and AM's. Participates in all senior management functions to assure company business success. Works with SVP Operations to develop regional operating and capital budget. Ensure regional staffing, PD supervision and development. Participate in continuing education/professional development activities. Promote adherence to policies and practices of applicable professional organizations, client and TriStar LLC Maintain memberships in applicable professional organizations. Monitor regional financial and clinical performance. Develop performance improvement/correction plans as needed. Develop and maintain positive relationships with client administration. Coordinate with Clinical Support on denial/ADR process.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy required. Master's degree preferred. Must possess and maintain current state or national certification and /or licensure in accordance with the state-specific practice. Valid driver's license required. Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a leadership position in Rehabilitation. Exemplary computer skills that include working knowledge of rehab related software packages (Casamba, NetHealth, etc.), and the Microsoft Office Suite of products.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
