The Assistant Vice President of Community Impact will lead EFCU Financial's engagement strategy by building meaningful community partnerships, advancing financial literacy, growing youth and young adult engagement, and expanding the impact of the EFCU Financial Foundation. This role connects the credit union's mission to real community needs by managing Foundation's scholarship and grant programs, directing philanthropic initiatives and charitable giving. This position will also be responsible for strengthening relationships with schools, civic organizations, local stakeholders, and representing EFCU Financial at events that deepen awareness of our products, services, and commitment to people helping people.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Represent EFCU Financial throughout the community by attending civic and trade functions, events with schools and other learning institutions, networking and volunteering to promote the credit union's image as a community partner, involving team members as appropriate to broaden EFCU's presence within the community.
  2. Actively seek and develop new opportunities to expand the credit union's presence and member base through impactful community involvement to increase awareness of the credit union's products, services, and mission.
  3. Manage the credit union's community sponsorship opportunities and work with the marketing team to provide materials and promotional items. Coordinate team member participation at sponsored events.
  4. Develop and implement youth and young adult engagement programs that expand EFCU Financial's reach with students, early-career professionals, and emerging member segments through relevant partnerships, financial education initiatives, campus and community outreach, and creative campaigns that connect with younger audiences.
  5. Create and deliver engaging presentations, workshops, and community experiences that promote EFCU Financial's mission, products, services, and financial literacy resources at civic events, sponsored events, schools, universities, and other community settings.
  6. Coordinate efforts with the marketing team for community and partner activities including event planning, event staffing, and development of support materials.
  7. Provide feedback to Marketing Department regarding sponsor group or member concerns, quality issues and product acceptance. Recommend solutions to problems, product enhancements and operational changes when applicable.
  8. Lead and manage all aspects of the EFCU Financial Foundation, programs including foundation operations, scholarships and grant programs, charitable giving initiatives, the promotion of and regular reporting and communication with the Foundation's Board of Directors.
  9. Communicate all event information internally. Submit end-of-month events summary to Chief Marketing Officer.
  10. Manage the monthly Employee Giving campaign and all other donation requests.
  11. Provide support and assist with marketing initiatives as needed.
  12. Any other duty as assigned or required in connection with the general operation of the credit union.

Salary Range starting between $63,919.99 - $79,899.99 based on experience.
Requirements
Critical Knowledge, Skills, and Educational Requirements:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in community relations. Experience in credit union or banking environment preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, marketing, or related field.
  • Proven track record of managing community relations or community outreach programs. Strong presentation and public speaking abilities are required.
  • Knowledge of credit union operations, procedures, products, and services preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial wellness best practices preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills with the ability to connect authentically with students, educators, community leaders, nonprofit partners, members, and team members across diverse audiences.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to create clear, accurate, and engaging communications for community partners, schools, team members, foundation stakeholders, and public-facing audiences.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and comfortable using digital tools to organize events, prepare presentations, track outreach activities, and communicate with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to take initiative, manage responsibilities with good judgment, and work independently or collaboratively based on the needs of the project, event, or community partnership.
  • Flexibility to deal with unexpected events and schedule changes.
  • Able to attend meetings and events that may occur outside of regularly scheduled work hours.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, initiative, and tact in dealing with the community, members, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision.
  • Capacity to manage many responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Must pass all credit and bond requirements.
