Job description

Description

ATMI Precast is not your average construction company. For over 35 years, we have been designing, manufacturing, and erecting large-scale precast concrete projects that shape communities. From data centers to hurricane-resistant buildings, our work is meaningful and built to last. You will join a team that values collaboration, clear communication, and doing things the right way.

This is not a desk-only role. As a Structural Engineer at ATMI, you will see your designs move from concept to construction and watch your work take shape in the real world. You will collaborate with talented engineers, designers, and project teams who are passionate about solving problems and pushing projects forward. ATMI invests in your professional growth through licensure support, advanced training, and the chance to take on more responsibility as you grow. If you want to be part of a company where your work makes a visible impact, this is the place.

Summary

The Structural Engineer is a key role on our engineering track. You will lead project design efforts, perform engineering design of precast components and connections, run 3D finite element modeling, and prepare construction documents in CAD and BIM environments. You will work with internal and external clients to deliver successful projects while building both technical expertise and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external clients to define project requirements
  • Perform structural analysis and design of precast components and connections
  • Prepare drawings and construction documents in CAD and BIM formats
  • Conduct 3D finite element modeling and analysis for structural components
  • Anticipate and identify structural or scope issues and propose solutions
  • Manage tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining budget accuracy
  • Lead and mentor staff when assigned as a Task or Project Leader
  • Stay current with industry codes and standards while actively pursuing professional development
  • Contribute to the development of design templates, checklists, and standards
  • Assist the Vice President of Engineering with consultant billings and staff allocation
  • Coach and support junior staff in their development

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architectural, Civil, or Structural Engineering required; Master's preferred
  • Diverse project design experience with demonstrated career growth
  • Proficiency with CAD and BIM platforms and familiarity with finite element analysis
  • Strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams
