About Your Role
As the Vice President, DevOps, you will lead the enterprise strategy for DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Operations, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and AI-enabled infrastructure across Fiserv. Partnering closely with Engineering, Product, Architecture, Security, Data Science, and Infrastructure teams, you will accelerate software delivery, modernize technology platforms, and drive the adoption of intelligent automation that improves reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
What you'll do:
  • Lead the enterprise DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, and cloud operations strategy, enabling scalable, resilient, and secure technology platforms
  • Build and develop high-performing DevOps, SRE, cloud engineering, and platform teams while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Drive modernization of CI/CD pipelines, release management, environment management, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native engineering practices
  • Establish governance, engineering standards, and best practices for software delivery, infrastructure management, and operational excellence across the organization
  • Leverage Generative AI, Machine Learning, AIOps, and MLOps capabilities to automate infrastructure management, incident response, root-cause analysis, monitoring, and capacity planning
  • Champion reliability engineering practices by defining and measuring SLOs, SLAs, KPIs, observability standards, disaster recovery readiness, and technology resilience programs
  • Partner with Information Security leadership to embed DevSecOps principles, automated security controls, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Manage strategic technology investments, budgets, vendor relationships, and executive partnerships while aligning platform capabilities to business objectives

Experience you'll need to have:
  • 15+ years of technology leadership experience with enterprise-scale engineering, infrastructure, or operations organizations
  • 8+ years of leadership experience overseeing DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Operations, Infrastructure Engineering, and/or Site Reliability Engineering teams
  • 8+ years of experience driving cloud transformation, infrastructure modernization, and enterprise-wide CI/CD adoption programs
  • 7+ years of experience designing and operating cloud-native platforms using AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and container technologies
  • 5+ years of experience implementing Infrastructure as Code solutions using technologies such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar automation frameworks
  • 5+ years of experience leading DevSecOps, observability, reliability engineering, operational excellence, and technology resilience initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience building and leading high-performing global engineering organizations, including leadership development and succession planning
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

Experience that would be great to have:
  • Prior experience implementing AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning, AIOps, or MLOps solutions within engineering and operations environments
  • Prior experience leveraging AI-enabled automation to improve software delivery, infrastructure management, incident response, and operational efficiency
  • Experience leading technology organizations within financial services, fintech, payments, or other highly regulated industries
  • Relevant cloud, DevOps, AI, Kubernetes, or platform engineering certifications

How you'll work:
  • Fiserv emphasizes in-person collaboration to help you grow your career while shaping the future of fintech, this role is on-site Monday through Friday
  • This role requires being on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis
  • This role requires flexibility to work overtime that includes weekends and holidays
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment

Travel:
  • Approximately 20% travel off-site or to other office locations is expected

Salary Range
$210,000.00 - $330,000.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
