Vice President (VP) – Industrials Investment Banking

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Vice President (VP) to join our dedicated Industrials Investment Banking team. As a VP, you will play a pivotal role in leading transaction execution, driving business development initiatives, and managing client relationships across our core industrial sub-sectors.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work across a broad and dynamic coverage universe, including:

Key Responsibilities

1. Deal Execution & Transaction Management

  • Lead Execution: Manage day-to-day execution of a wide variety of complex financial transactions, including sell-side and buy-side M&A, equity and debt capital raises, and strategic corporate advisory.

  • Financial Modeling: Oversee the development of sophisticated financial models (valuation, LBO, merger consequences, and financial structuring) and ensure rigorous technical accuracy.

  • Due Diligence: Direct the due diligence process, coordinate with cross-functional deal teams (legal, accounting, tax), and act as the primary point of contact for clients and counter-parties.

  • Marketing Materials: Lead the drafting and preparation of high-quality marketing materials, including confidential information memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, and pitch books.

2. Client Relationship & Business Development

  • Coverage Support: Support senior coverage bankers (Managing Directors and Directors) in deepening relationships with corporate clients and financial sponsors.

  • Pitching: Take a lead role in originating new business by identifying market opportunities, generating tailored strategic ideas, and delivering compelling pitch presentations.

  • Sub-Sector Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, regulatory shifts, valuation metrics, and the competitive landscape across the covered Industrials sub-sectors.

3. Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Resource Management: Manage, mentor, and review the work of Associates and Analysts, ensuring their professional growth and the delivery of top-tier work product.

  • Culture: Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience

  • Investment Banking Background: 3+ years of experience as an Investment Banking Associate (or equivalent experience in a VP-level capacity) at a reputable investment bank or advisory firm.

  • Sector Track Record: Proven transaction experience within the Industrials sector or related sub-sectors (e.g., Chemicals, Electronics, Logistics, Infrastructure, or Packaging) is highly preferred.

  • M&A Focus: Strong track record of successfully closed M&A transactions.

Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Mastery: Advanced knowledge of corporate finance, accounting, financial analysis, and valuation techniques (DCF, trading/precedent comparables, LBO analysis).

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present complex financial concepts to C-suite executives and board members.

  • Project Management: Outstanding organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple deal workstreams simultaneously under tight deadlines.

  • Licenses: FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses are required (or must be obtained within a short period of hiring).
